| I wanted to let you know that Adam, and all of us, had an absolutely WONDERFUL time at the soap box derby this year. I don't know if you heard, but Adam was in the first heat of the day - and WON!!! Unfortunately, he lost his next two races - but wow what a fun time! Aside from the incredible heat that day, the people there did everything they could think of to keep us comfortable, from cold water to cold towels and fun activities (my daughter enjoyed the face painting and beading, as well as the bucket of ice water). At the banquet, Adam learned he was the first heat racer this year, and received a package of gifts from last year's first heat winner - is this something we would do for next year's first heat racer? Ironically, we got our gift from a boy in North Olmsted who won the first heat last year! We would be interested in knowing a schedule for the 2010-2011 year, as I think Adam would very much like to race again. Thank you! |
